The Needy Visions – “Number of the Beast” – 3/01/09 – The Milky Way

 

With a snowstorm in full swing outside, The Needy Visions warmed up those who had braved the elements with a tasty acoustic set highlighted by the debut performance of, “Number of The Beast”. I was thankful to get the opportunity to see this band in such an intimate setting and even though I didn’t know many songs I found myself singing along by the end of each one. This is a band that reminds you how powerful a well-written song can be.

Drug Rug – “For the Rest of Your Life” – The Paradise Rock Club

 

Friday night at The Paradise Rock Club was a night to remember for local music in this city. Three amazing bands played to an enthusiastic crowd that was into the show from the first notes of Viva Viva through Helms and up to the last note of Drug Rug’s encore. After working at The Paradise for 5 years, a long stint that ended in April 2008, it felt great to go back to this place to see some of my favorite local bands put on a stellar show.
